She has been drawn to capturing images since childhood – starting with a 110 film camera out of a cereal box and a neighbor’s borrowed VHS camcorder.
Since then, Austin has worked on various independent films, events, and television shows including co-producing a documentary on Virginia City, Nevada, and traveling to Nepal as a documentary photographer. She has videotaped and edited over 350 weddings and as an undergraduate at Radford University in Radford, Virginia, co-created the first Student Produced Television show, ROC-TV.
At home on the island of Maui, Austin is involved in many aspects of video production throughout the State of Hawaii including documentary production, corporate and live events, travel videography and photography, independent videos, weddings and special occasions.
Austin travels extensively – even if it is around a small island in the middle of the sea – preserving moments and images along the way.
